Dave Bennett

Chief Technology Officer and Board Member of Axway NA

Dave started his career as a software engineer at Bank of America in Okinawa, Japan. He was responsible for integrating several core banking systems using specialized communications protocols. In 1987, he became Assistant Vice President, Regional Banks & Item Processing.

In 1989, Dave joined Gateway Data Sciences, Inc., a startup in Tempe, Arizona as the System Engineering Services Director. He became the company’s Engineering/Technical Executive in 1992, and developed the first IP-based wireless receiving solution for supply chain execution and store receiving.

After the company’s IPO in 1996, he founded B2B technology company Cyclone Commerce, Inc. and served as the Chief Technology Officer. He pioneered business- to-business collaborations and partner management. Dave has also authored / co-authored several standards and patents for B2B technologies.

In 2006, Cyclone Commerce, Inc. was acquired by Axway. Dave was named Chief Technology Officer and joined the board of Axway NA. He joined the MIT Enterprise Forum Phoenix Board in 2009, to support business development in Arizona.
