Master Data Management (MDM)
According to Gartner, Master Data Management (MDM) is critical to CRM Optimization. If you are not familiar with the term Master data management (MDM), MDM is a comprehensive method of enabling an enterprise to link all of its critical data to one file, called a master file, that provides a common point of reference. When properly done, MDM streamlines data sharing among personnel and departments. Using MDM along with your CRM will help your organization eliminating data errors and duplicates by removing the need for manual account creation and maintenance.
Sugar, MDM, and Infosys
When you begin your use Sugar, a single MDM source is provided from Dun & Bradstreet (D&B). This D&B's MDM integration is subscription based with a several different subscription levels to choose from. Infosys can help you determine which subscription will work best for your organization and help you acquire the appropriate license.
Our enterprise customers have internal MDM already established which is not the out of the box (OOTB) integration provided by SugarCRM. Information that may be stored in an enterprise MDM includes detailed data that has been garnered from a many internal sources collected from all of their internal systems, and information from social networks. Infosys has spent the time to build, and integrate the internal MDM in a seamless fashion right inside of Sugar. The MDM information is used in Sugar to create new accounts, update data, view important information contained in other systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Configure Price Quote (CPQ). One of the important aspects of the integration is that it is not one-way but bi-directional. Upon updating of information within Sugar, pertinent data is returned to the MDM so that other systems also receive the updated information.
Infosys has the deep understanding of how to integrate your internal MDM or any other data source into Sugar. We can help you architect, and design an integration that meets your business needs.
