Ready for a Joint New Year's Resolution?
- Let's reuse components wherever possible, as much as we can. Why reinvent the wheel when we can adapt our architecture?
- Let's develop solutions that are self-sustaining. Use virtualization to reduce dependence on energy and automate to minimize manual intervention.
- Let's pay for IT services as and when we need them. The cloud provides us with lessons on fiscal discipline.
- Let's ensure our businesses and consumers are mobile, better informed and connected. We must empower the digital generation and cultivate customers.
Here's wishing all of you a very happy and fulfilling new year.

I totally support the focus on Re-use and Sustainability that will help us save project costs for Infy and at the same time pass some of the benefit to the client organisation. This will enhance our competitiveness in the marketplace and value proposition to our customers. I would like to add 1 more resolution - To follow up on our goals as an individual and as a Unit within the organisation. I am firm believer that that a focus on individual goals worthy of our efforts and energy will certainly contribute in a big way in meeting the goals of our unit and eventually to the goals of our vibrant organisation.

We should also make better use of the Knowledge Management resources. One should not only refer it but also contribute a little more than what we have been doing.

Hi Ravi,
This is good resolution and we always encourage ourselves and team members for reusing the available components. Also we work on developing and sharing components which can be reused by other teams. We would continue to do so.
Thanks for your wishes.
Wish you very Happy New Year!

Facebook valuations at 50Bn$ for about 500 mn subscribers is probably an indication of the power of social networking. As I started using various social networking channels like blogs, tweeter etc as a part of my new year resolution, I found a very interesting site which measures valuation of your tweeter acct. My current valuation is 9$:) and hope to move this upto my annual compensation at some point of time. Check yours at www.twalue.com

Shouldn't we have technology enablement and regulation for social network portability like mobile number portability. What happens otherwise when Twitter/facebook are no longer cool and I need to switch social network providers??
