SAP's Business Intelligence product platform reached a critical milestone last month when the much awaited SAP BI 4.0 was made for General Availability (GA) on September 16th. Although the event was a bit muted and probably lost in the din and hype on HANA, it was definitely a corner stone in SAP's journey to transform its Business Intelligence bouquet. In this blog I would like to talk about the strategic direction that SAP is taking with this new platform both in terms of Business Intelligence (BI) and Information Management (IM).
