Transparency is the New Challenge

In her most recent report released on August 1, Stephanie Moore of Forrester Research says that clients expect efficiency and transparency when working with their IT service providers.

This is yet another sign of how customer expectations are increasing as they get used to having more visibility into pricing and other information.  It will be interesting to see how far this trend goes in services industries other than IT.

form my point of view thinking flat is the demand of the time to survive in biz world .more over it's more important to think more wider in directions than the deeper to achive what we want through this biz.IT industry in india is still in it's young age and there is lot to go .it's we at IT industry who had to lead the way for the nation on this path .there is lot to do about enrichment of knowledge of the nation to move fastest. in rural india we can do uch better then we are performing now we had to find new ways,ideas,innovations,to let us lead our nation.we can do alot for our nation our motherland our india let's come and join the hand to introduce one more revolution the revolution of knowledge and IT.we can made our nation to move faster .and the change will start from now and from here from my self we the man of IT will do it for the nation greatest in the world called "INDIA"

Transparent Management is important in IT industry as the employees are really the brilliant cream from the population. Transparency and values positively affect their motivation, inclusivity and innovation.

Transparency is the main factor in building Trust. So to build a trustable relationship with customers, organizations need to be transparent in every transaction with the customer. The 'world is flat', so there is no 'hillocks' hindering the vision. Therefore, see-through management is important.

Transparency is needed in the process, involving open communication, data capture, measurements and being ethical in the process. Just the lip services by the senior management does do not achieve it on the ground. Transparency will never get implemented unless managers and employees embrace it honestly.

To make interactions with the customer transparent to the needed level, it should be practiced within the corporate so that employees will get used this culture. I heard that some of the smaller companies even pay 'salary' which is not accounted in the compensation letters to save tax! It is time to change!

It is said that, you can teach people new skills, but you cannot teach ethics to people who are fundamentally disposed to do you harm. Behavior can be changed by skill training, but not traits. This should be taken care in recruiting process.

On transparency, trust and ethics (TTE) for operational excellence and customer satisfaction: I think TTE needs to be practiced first within the business units and departments, before it can be passed on to the customer. This practice can be achieved with policies that are implemented to nurture/enhance existing pool of motivated talent within units. Especially in a product lifecycle, associated processes and deliverables need to drive towards global accepted standards. If a business unit chooses non-progressive business goals and redundant processes for delivery, it does not reflect on TTE for the organization, the business unit, the product, the team and eventually the customer.

If people and corporates wanted transparency then no common man would use Google Search and no corporate CFO would welcome "Google Business Suite" and "Google Enterprise Search" platforms. People want "efficieny" and transparency is just a myth.
