It is a good idea to invite ideas, but often this great initiative is badly manned- at times ideas pour in in thousands and the team that is supposed to evaluate these ideas fails to give them due attention and most of the ideas are ignored.
When a idea contributor feels that his ideas are repeatedly ignored and not given due consideration, the whole idea may backfire.
