Yes it is Dr Suman - The granularity of information and the specificity the ICD10 provides by its design could defenitely leveraged for cost cutting. I would think ROI can be realised in long run as it also take significant cost in implementing ICD10 change.
Meanwhile, I was also thinking ICD10 besides cost cutting will also give opportunity to innovatively redesign/re negotiate contract for new line of revenue generation for payer industry. cheers and Thanks.
